On-line Giving and Finances
We have recently added the capacity for on-line giving as means for your tithing. You can find information in the bulletin, on your website (https://frazeesacredheart.
You have been so faithful in your support of Sacred Heart parish. Even during the weeks we were unable to have Mass your contributions were steady. Thank you and praise God for your faithfulness. There was a year-end financial report in the bulletin some weeks ago. Please contact the parish office if you would like a copy of it. (218-334-4221)
Sacred Heart parish continues to carry a loan on the 2013 building project. We are falling short of our goal for the monthly second collection “Building Fund” to pay the loan payment. Our financial health will be enhanced if you are able to support this second collection. The loan payment is about $1515 a month. The loan will be paid off in 5 years.
Religious Education
At this time, in collaboration with area Churches and Frazee Public Schools, we have had to suspend our release time program. We hope that it will resume when the pandemic has run its course. We will be offering both in person and online Religious Education this year. Grades K-6 will have RE on certain Sundays after the 8:30am Mass from 9:30am to 11:00am. Starting September 27th.
Beginning October 7th grades 7-11 will continue to be held on Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm with dinner at 6:00pm. The online RE option is available for grade 1-8. Registration forms are available through the website (https://frazeesacredheart.org/ministries/youth-faith-formation/)and in All Saints Hall.
Prayer
Here is a prayer for the pandemic:
Loving God shower us with the peace Jesus promised to his disciples and make us pillars of faith for those around us. In this time of uncertainty and epidemic, wake us up to the unchanging mercy you hold for the world.
Even as we are asked to keep our distance from others, help us to find ways to reach out to those who need our support. We pray especially for those whose incomes and livelihoods are threatened. For those already isolated, lonely, and scared. Loving God give them your peace, and through our hands ensure they have what they need.
Sustain, strengthen, and protect all caregivers. Bless them as they offer compassionate care and show selfless courage in the face of risk.
Remind us, each time we wash our hands, that in our baptism you call us to let go of our fears and live in joy, peace, and hope. Amen.
Sincerely,
Fr. David
